Circulation deals with everyday repetition in our lives. This seven-day cycle expresses my traveling around Brno city. We all are moving again and again in some cycle and our paths are constantly being repeated. This work should point to the absurdity of repetition in our lives, whether it is the repetition of the cycle of going to work, school and home, or the circulation of life and death. Everything keeps repeating again and again. This procedure is expressed by a curve that is full of twists and turns and supplemented with notes from current days and creates a visual image of the everyday cycle.
Pex/Al/Pex tube, digital LED strip, OFF/FORMAT gallery, another realisation in Palace of Noble Ladies, 2017.
Circulation model tries to solve the problem of repeating cycles. It is a object with organic shape, created from a tube with light circulation on it. This object is based on idea of human constantly repeating actions and processes, whether they refer to the human body and mind, nature or society. The twisted line can be seen as a route or path, but it can also remind a movement without a clear goal, or going around in circles. The omnipresent cycle, is then an individual contribution to the whole and it can be presented as a irregular curve full of dramatic twists and turns, ups and downs. The light (made by digital LED strip), which constantly copies the organic shape of the tube, represents an endless flow of information. The object tries to point out the never ending circulations in our lives; The object problem does not solve, it is rather a statement.
