Solo exhibition,Circulation, Industrial Gallery, Ostrava, 2019
Solo exhibition of the Industrial 2019 gallery
The installation in the gallery space called Circulation deals with the specificity of the gallery space itself. The individual objects that are located in the gallery are created directly for the given place and react to the volumes of the gallery, which it tries to supplement non-violently. The translucent material of the objects ensures that the viewer does not notice the seemingly inconspicuous objects of geometric shapes. Another element passing through the space is the hose, from which water can flow in some parts of the gallery. This element can remind us of the hot days of last summer and the feeling of dissolving under the influence of the sun.
The individual objects are printed on a 3D printer from a soluble PVA filament, which in normal printing is used only as a water-soluble support for the printing itself.
The circulation follows a series with the same name, which tries to solve the problem of constantly recurring cycles. This theme is also reflected in these objects, which are partially automatically generated by a computer, they are mainly two objects deviating in their shape, namely a circle and a loop. These two objects were selected as representatives of never-ending shapes, around which rods were automatically generated as supports, which rotate along an imaginary spiral located inside.
The whole installation encounters transience and a constant cycle around us. It also deals with the issue of the absence of materiality and its importance (insignificance) in contemporary art. The 3D printing technique is used as a sculptor’s tool, which uses it to facilitate the work, but at the same time it is limited by its possibilities and tests its boundaries. Objects and their size and appearance are intentionally affected by the size of the print pad and are subject to parameters that determine the printable area and print settings. The gradual dissolution of objects under the impact of drops of water and their subsequent disappearance is a reflection on the very need of man to leave a trace, which, however, often disappears over time.

Festival Prototyp, Circulation, instalation at exterior, BVV Trade Fairs, Brno, 2018
Interactive installation in the Prototype Brno festival.
The light stream responds to the noise that surrounds the installation. The more noise, the faster the light stream circulates and changes color. The colors are inspired by the tricolor, depending on the recent 100 anniversary of the origing of Czechoslovakia.
Circulation tries to solve the problem of constantly recurring cycles. An organic-shaped light object from a tube copies the light that circulates around it. This object is based on the consideration of human ever-recurring events and processes, whether they concern the human body and mind, nature or society. The object rests on the given space and tries to contain it in its entirety. The line passing through the gallery space can be perceived as a marked route or path, but it can also resemble movement without a clear goal, “tangling” in a circle. The cycle, which is ubiquitous, is then an individual contribution to the whole and can be presented as the course of an irregular curve full of dramatic twists, ups and downs. The stream of light, which constantly replicates the organic shape of the tube, represents an endless flow of information. Circulation seeks to point out the hopelessness of repetition in our lives; it does not solve the problem, it is rather a statement.
Memorial Hanke, visualization, open competition to create memorial, Ostrava, 2018.
The Memorial to the Victims of the International Camp for the German Population HANKE portrays and reminds the terrible crimes that have happened here. Every victim (a total of 231) who was executed here without a court represents a light hole drilled into a memorial plaque. The shadows that are projected on the ground, due to the drilled holles, leave a temporary imprint on the places where was the camp placed. The memorial plate itself is inclined as well as the motives of those who tortured their victims and executed without trial and the rusty material increases the effec. The incline surface should cause the feeling of fear. Text is placed on the bottom sheet so the viewer is forced to be confront with the object itself. The strait shadow of the monument is timed for the afternoon hours.

Circulation deals with everyday repetition in our lives. This seven-day cycle expresses my traveling around Brno city. We all are moving again and again in some cycle and our paths are constantly being repeated. This work should point to the absurdity of repetition in our lives, whether it is the repetition of the cycle of going to work, school and home, or the circulation of life and death. Everything keeps repeating again and again. This procedure is expressed by a curve that is full of twists and turns and supplemented with notes from current days and creates a visual image of the everyday cycle.
Pex/Al/Pex tube, digital LED strip, OFF/FORMAT gallery, another realisation in Palace of Noble Ladies, 2017.
Circulation model tries to solve the problem of repeating cycles. It is a object with organic shape, created from a tube with light circulation on it. This object is based on idea of human constantly repeating actions and processes, whether they refer to the human body and mind, nature or society. The twisted line can be seen as a route or path, but it can also remind a movement without a clear goal, or going around in circles. The omnipresent cycle, is then an individual contribution to the whole and it can be presented as a irregular curve full of dramatic twists and turns, ups and downs. The light (made by digital LED strip), which constantly copies the organic shape of the tube, represents an endless flow of information. The object tries to point out the never ending circulations in our lives; The object problem does not solve, it is rather a statement.
